We were delighted to return to the CropTec show this year, meeting with people face-to-face for the first time at an event for over two years. The two-day event, held at the East of England Showground in Peterborough, was hugely successful in meeting with new and existing distributors and customers. It also proved to be a very successful show in gaining new contacts for future business deals.
Managing Director Barrie Hawkin was thrilled with the response from customers visiting the Fielder stand. “After an absence of a couple of years we were delighted with the quality of decision maker who were interested in Fielder’s innovative portfolio. Following the contacts made at the show we are hopeful we will be able to expand our distributor network overseas, whilst also continuing to accelerate growth in our UK business. A very worthwhile couple of days,” he added.

There was one product that really caught people’s attention, Fielder Stretchur-N. With the current availability issues and sky-rocketing prices, there has been an increased demand for other sources of nitrogen like Stretchur-N, which has a phased release over a six-week period. It is used as a boost for cereal, potato and oilseed rape crops before harvest (as well as amenity grasses), and Barrie Hawkin says it was obvious at CropTec 2021 that growers were looking to reduce their Nitrogen outlay for the season ahead. “Nitrogen price is a real worry for growers out there. Stretchur N is designed to help them reduce their nitrogen use by around 30kg per hectare, with its mix of nitrogen polymers of varying chain lengths that breakdown in a phased way. On top of this, there are considerable environmental benefits of using this product too.” There is no doubt that the awareness in products such as Stretchur N will continue into the new year.
A thank you to everyone that took their time to come on to the stand and we look forward to exhibiting again at LAMMA on the 11-12th January 2022.
