Fielder’s mission is to deliver market leading nutrients to the agricultural, horticultural and amenity sectors, backed by up by honest and independent advice
HOW WE ARE STRUCTURED
Our Fielder business is split into two channels – we are manufacturers and producers of plant nutrients; and we operate an agronomy business out of our West Midlands base.
Fielder is a proudly independent business with more than forty years of experience in plant nutrition. We have developed new products in line with the latest scientific advances, particularly in the biostimulant and seed treatment arena. Our tailored range of products are manufactured to the highest specification, and we can even customise to meet your requirements. We work with a select group of distributors who provide a nationwide network for our range of high quality products. Find out more about our product range here.
Alongside our national plant nutrition business, we also operate an independent agronomy business. Guided by cutting edge scientific data and analysis, the company provides BASIS and FACTS qualified advice on the growing of all arable and fruit crops, as well as professional and amenity turf. Fielder’s soil and crop analysis is geared to maximise yields and crop quality in a sustainable way. Find out more about our agronomy services, as well as agrochemicals, fertiliser, seed and livestock minerals here.
OUR HISTORY

Barrie Hawkin discovered his passion for agriculture as a young boy, working on his local farm in North Yorkshire. This inspired him to pursue a full-time career in farming, taking an agronomy degree at Leeds University. Barrie worked for 20 years in the agrochemical and liquid fertiliser industries, before setting up our Fielder agronomy business in 1995. Since then Fielder has gone from strength to strength, growing our client base and expanding into plant nutrients and seed dressings.
Robert joined the business alongside his father Barrie in 2021. Prior to working at Fielder Robert spent ten years in global marketing and sales roles – in both independent family-run and blue-chip FMCG organisations. As Marketing Director for Fielder he brings a passion for the customer experience and is excited by the challenge of adapting the company to the changes that the agriculture industry faces. Robert was awarded his BASIS certificate in Crop Protection in September 2022.
