Phosphorous is an essential element for living cells. A plant will convert the phosphite to phosphate and then utilise this as an energy pump for all metabolic processes. Hence if a crop is P deficient, phosphate (such as our Fielder Phos) is the answer – to give a speedy response and prevent a slow down in growth particularly of roots and tubers in potatoes.
Phosphite has a more complex role in plant development. Extremely mobile, it is quickly absorbed into the leaf and translocated both up and down the plant, where it triggers the plants own immune system (phyto-allexins). This provides the huge benefits of stress resistance and improved plant health. If applied in mixtures with other nutrients such as Calcium, Manganese, Magnesium, a speedier uptake of these nutrients is facilitated.
The Fielder Fighter range
Fighter

Fighter (30% P, 10% K, 5% N) is a balanced mix of Potassium, Nitrogen and trace elements, combined with a high Phosphorous component. This gives maximum encouragement for healthy plant growth, and boosts the plants own defence systems.
Fighter can be applied to your agricultural, horticultural, fruit crops, as well as all professional turf and amenity grasses.
Fighter is sold as a liquid in 10L and 1,000L containers.
Fighter Pilot

Fighter Pilot is our phosphite liquid mix (18% P, 5.5% Ca, 5% N, 1.2% Mg). We have formulated this with a high concentration of Phosphite plus Calcium.
This product is particularly popular on potato crops, where foliar P is very important for tuber initiation. Calcium has known benefits in reducing internal rust spotting in tubers.
Fighter Pilot is sold in 10L and 1,000L containers.
Fighter Man

Fighter Man contains a complexed blend of micronutrients (38% P, 5% K, 1% SO3, 0.8% Mn, 0.4% B, 150g/l Mo).
It is formulated very specifically with peas and beans in mind. It differs from the other Fighter products in the range as it contains good levels of Boron and Molybdenum, whilst containing no Nitrogen.
Fighter Commando

Fighter Commando has been created for use primarily where higher levels of potassium are required. It is a liquid that can be tank mixed well with nearly all pesticides. This product has been the fastest growing in the Phosphite range over the last two years.
(28% P, 26% K)
Fielder Kick-On

Kick-On is our partner product to the industry respected Kick-Off. Specially formulated for foliar application to the young developing crop, Kick-On improves plant health and boost the plants defence system. As a result, yields have been shown to improve by as much as 10%.
To be used on Arable, Horticultural & Amenity crops.
P, Mn, Zn, S, N, K
Sold as a liquid in 5L containers.
Phos

Chemically the difference between phosphate and phosphite is the former contains an extra oxygen molecule (PO4 v PO3). From a plant point of view they will convert the phosphite to phosphate and then utilise this as an energy pump for all metabolic processes.
Hence, if a crop is P deficient, phosphate supplied in the form of our Fielder Phos is the answer. Applying Phos will give a speedy response and prevent a slow down in growth particularly of roots, and tubers for potatoes. 47% P, 14% N.
