• Abiotic Stress Tolerance – potassium silicate can enhance plants’ ability to tolerate various abiotic stresses, such as high temperatures, drought, and salinity. It helps plants maintain proper water balance and reduce the negative effects of stress. Slicker encourages the plant to improve its metabolic rate and the stronger cell walls reduce transpiration losses which results in improved resistance to frost damage, drought and heat stresses.
• Improved Nutrient Uptake – Slicker can enhance the uptake of essential nutrients like phosphorus and potassium, leading to improved overall plant nutrition.
• Humates act as buffering agents and improve plant uptake of potassium silicate.
• Better Photosynthesis – Silicon has been linked to improved photosynthesis rates, leading to increased growth and yields. Slicker has a direct effect on increasing the concentration of chlorophyll and RUBP carboxylase in leaves. It also helps balance nutrient uptake and distribution with the supply. • Better equipped vs pathogens – Slicker is readily absorbed into the leaf and mobilized to the cell walls which it impregnates and binds into within 24 hours of application. There it encourages the production of phenolic compounds. These compounds
  provide the plants natural defence against a range of fungi including powdery mildews, pythium and botrytis and against sucking insects such as aphis and red spider mites.
• Environmental Sustainability – Silicon-based fertilisers are often considered environmentally friendly, as they don’t typically contribute to nutrient runoff and water pollution. They can also improve soil structure and fertility over time.

Tank Mixing
Slicker + is physically and chemically compatible with most pesticides. Avoid zinc based products. Check by mixing a small amount in the correct ratio adding the product to the water followed by the pesticide. Crops can be susceptible to scorch from mixtures of nutrients and pesticides applied during periods of stress.
