Well, that was a lovely surprise. We were delighted to be nominated for the recent Rural Awards 2025, so to be then announced as the winner of Agricultural Business of the Year was a bit of a shock!
Fielder is a family-run and independent company and although small, we are a dedicated team. Seeing our name listed among the best in UK agriculture is a real honour — and we know it wouldn’t have happened without our customers, so thank you.
Fielder takes home prestigious prize at awards ceremony
Founder of Fielder Barrie Hawkin was certainly delighted with the win: “We didn’t start Fielder as a company to win awards. We simply want to provide high quality products to our customers with a bespoke level of customer service that only a small business can offer. But that’s not to say winning these awards isn’t nice!”
As well as being proudly independent, the judges acknowledged the new innovation we are bringing to the sector, including Surge, a bio-stacked seed treatment that eliminates the reliability issues many biological products face, whilst delivering 6% yield gains in trials.
A growing international business
Farming in the UK comes with its own unique challenges. And that is why we were delighted to grow Fielder’s market share and revenues for a 4th consecutive year in a row.
Further to this, Fielder has begun to focus on other market with Ireland becoming an important territory for us. Added to this, the likes of Peru and New Zealand are opening up for us and we are delighted with our partners selling our products here.

At Fielder, we’re proud to support the shift towards more sustainable farming. We are constantly helping growers cut back on synthetic fertiliser use without sacrificing performance. With a range of products to help fix N, as well as unlocking phosphorus in the soil, our portfolio helps reduce input costs and promotes a healthier growing environment.
