Biological Seed Treatment
What is Surge?
After years of research, we’ve developed a unique seed treatment that meets the growing demand for sustainable, high-performing crop inputs. Surge from Fielder is a cutting-edge biological seed treatment powered by three strains of elite UK-grown Bacillus. They work in harmony with one another and are proven to boost early plant establishment, enhance nutrient uptake through stronger roots, and improve stress resilience. The bacteria work to solubilise P in the soil, as well as fixing Nitrogen. Meanwhile, the micronutrients included in Surge are well known to aid establishment and root growth. This advanced blend is designed to reliably improve your crop by unlocking more from every seed, whilst reducing your reliance on synthetic inputs. Give your crops the performance edge they need, naturally.

The Results
Don’t Believe Us? See For Yourself.
We filled 9cm pots with either uninoculated or Fusarium-inoculated compost and sown with 10 wheat or barley seeds. Six replicate pots were set per interaction. Plant growth was assessed at 10 days after planting to evaluate emergence and 20 days post-planting to evaluate the survival of plants in the presence of the pathogen. A photographic record of plant development was made after 20 days.
